Miami-Dade Welcomes International Latin GRAMMY Media with First-Ever Official Reception

Miami-Dade County achieved a milestone by hosting the first-ever official welcome event exclusively for accredited international media attending the 25th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards®, underscoring the city’s status as a global hub for Latin music and culture. Held at The Epic Hotel in downtown Miami, this landmark gathering welcomed distinguished figures, including David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB); Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava; Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy®; Emmy-winning Univision journalist Clarissa Molina; and Stephen Neuman, VP of Global Government Affairs for American Airlines.

The Latin GRAMMYs’ return to Miami marks the third time Greater Miami has hosted the awards, following events in 2003 and a closed-door ceremony in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Latin Recording Academy, headquartered in Miami, chose this vibrant city to highlight its essential role in the Latin music industry and its standing as a global gateway to the Americas.

Latin GRAMMY Week in Greater Miami will shine a spotlight on the city’s outstanding venues and lively ambiance. Events and celebrations will take place at iconic locations, including The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, The Miami Beach Convention Center, The Kaseya Center, and esteemed hotels like The Kimpton EPIC Hotel, The Loews Miami Beach Hotel, and The Faena Hotel Miami Beach. These venues showcase Miami’s unparalleled ability to host world-class events, creating unforgettable experiences for artists and media.
